Harold Zimmick
Lead Pastor
Pastor Harold has been at Asbury since 2005. He has served at United Methodist churches in southern Wisconsin and was the Director of the Nehemiah Leadership Institute in Minneapolis prior to that. He and his wife, Wendy, have been married since 1984 and have three children: Charis, Caleb and Connor. He enjoys basketball, baseball, football, camping and hiking, and hanging out with his family.
Paul Yoder
Pastor of Visitation and Senior Ministry
After serving as a United Methodist pastor in Wisconsin for seventeen years—eleven in Hayward and six in Markesan—Paul retired and immediately began a new part-time ministry with us in 2013. He met his wife Patricia (Pat) at church in Marquette, Michigan and they married in Iron Mountain in 1973. He has a degree in Accounting and Finance from Northern Michigan University. After twenty-two years in accounting, he moved his wife and four sons to Kentucky to attend Asbury Theological Seminary where he obtained his Masters in Divinity in 1996. He enjoys singing and He and Pat enjoy having their two lovely granddaughters close in Belleville, WI and traveling to visit their other three sons and a daughter-in-law in Kentucky.
Patricia Tristan
Pastor of Family Ministries
Pastor Patricia’s heart is for families and young people! She has been doing family ministry since 2010 in the local church. She got her BA in Religion from Southwestern College and is currently earning her Master’s in Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. She will be graduating in May 2024. Patricia is married to Rev. Sergio F. Tristan and together they have two beautiful boys, Yitzak and Sergi. They enjoy watching action movies and eating pizza together. When pastor Patricia is not at church, you can find her watching her boys play soccer!
Ed Oplinger
Building Manager
Ed began serving as the Building and Grounds Manager at Asbury in 2016. He has a farm background from Kansas and degrees from Kansas State and Purdue Universities. Ed spent 30 plus years on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin, retiring in 2000. Ed met his wife Kathy at Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa. They have three daughters and four grand children and have been members at Asbury since 2000.
Lois Kegel
Bookkeeper
Prior to moving to Madison in 2014, Lois worked in the banking industry for 40+ years. She has been the bookkeeper at Asbury since April 2019. Jim and Lois have been married 47 years and have 2 children, their daughter Kim and son Christopher, and 3 granddaughters. Lois and Jim have been members of Asbury since 2014.
Mary Wunsch
First Impressions Coordinator
Mary has been the First Impressions Coordinator since June, 2019. She is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree in Business. Mary lives in Fitchburg with her husband Steve. She has two adult children: son Adam and daughter Laura, and three grandchildren. Mary enjoys flower gardening, camping, event planning and bicycling. She and husband Steve have been members at Asbury since 2015.
Sergei Pavlov
Choir Director
Sergei moved to the Madison area just recently, after spending several years working in South America. Originally from Bulgaria, he grew up in Damascus, Syria, where his father worked as a Bulgarian diplomat. Sergei holds a doctorate in Conducting from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He moved to the US in 2004. It was also in Urbana where he met his wife Yanzel who is an opera singer from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

administrative assistant
Kelli started attending Asbury in the late summer months of 2022. She has many years of administrative/office work experience, including some in a church office. Kelli also works a full-time job as an Administrative Assistant. She has 1 adult daughter and 2 grandkids - they are her JOY!!
