Family: I live in Madison with my wonderful
wife Lindsay. We have 2 cats (Callie and Zoe) and a Golden Retriever, Baily.
My Ministry Calling: I was raised in a
Pastor's home, and vowed never to go into minstry. In
1993, however, after some difficult struggles in my
life, I sensed a call to full-time ministry. I am glad
that I took that step - answering God's call has
brought many blessings to my life. I feel the pastoral
and spiritual aspect of my ministry is of equal (and
probably greater) importance than the musical side. I'm
humbled that God called me to lead worship, and amazed
that I get to do what I love for a living.
What I Enjoy about Serving at Asbury: I
really enjoy the people of Asbury - we are blessed with
many talented musicians who joyfully give of their time
to serve. I also enjoy working with a staff that is
fun-loving and almost as crazy as I am!
My Relationship with Christ: I accepted
Jesus as my Savor at about the age of 3 or 4 after
hearing Dr. J. Vernon McGee present the message of
salvation on the radio. Although I grew in my faith
over the years, it wasn't until after I was baptized at
the age of 19 that I seriously committed myself to
follow Christ. Having God in my life is what gives me
strength each day, and I am grateful for peace, joy and
salvation so freely given to me.
Interesting or Unusual Facts About Myself: I
was the only baseball player in my High School class
who also sang in the choir. While in middle school, I
read over 50,000 pages in the course of one year.

Redemption

WI with Lindsay, work in the yard, drink coffee
Favorite Scripture: Isaiah 61:1-2a

We have two worship services at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. The 9 a.m.service is generally traditional in format and music, our 10:30 a.m. worship is led by one of our Praise Teams, and has a more relaxed, contemporary feel.
